I recently took this pack through the Egypt 3 slot canyon in Utah's Grand Staircase National Monument. It is an extremely tight slot canyon through sandstone that can tear up a normal pack. The Canyon2100 material held up to the constant grinding on the sandstone. The straps under the lid and on the sides held my 200' rope securely. The size is perfect for an all purpose pack. I haven't used a sleeping bag in a slot canyon yet but the separated bottom compartment was perfect for my harness and related gear. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a durable pack that can hold up to abuse.

Teton bag is just as described by the seller. The bag is built with a great amount of entry ways so that you can access material from top or bottom. I bought this bag for long term tourism through Asia. It fits more than enough clothes and necessities for two weeks and fits as a carry on during flights.

My husband tried on the Canyon2100 and liked the size and design of the bag. He thought it was very comfortable to wear. We both quickly noticed that the bag has lots of pockets on the outside, some you might not even expect. He liked the location of the compression straps that makes the bag small and compact easy for putting the weight where you want it. He excited showed me all about the dry bag and how you seal it to keep water out. This aspect will be essential for his upcoming hiking trip! He noticed right away how easy the bag is to put on and take off and buckle up the straps. We also really loved that we can add in a hydration bladder right into this backpack and it has a specific pocket built in to hold the bladder and a hole to allow for easy access to the tube. This is a very high quality nice pack and he can't wait to use it on the trail!
